The Vrdolyak Law Group Recovers $9 Million for the Estate of an Un-Married Man Killed in Semi-Truck Crash

The Vrdolyak Law Group recovered $9 million on behalf of the estate of a 29-year-old unmarried truck driver who was killed in a crash with another semi-truck. The man was survived by his one-year-old infant son. Lead attorneys on the case were Jon Papin and Steven C. Armbruster of the Vrdolyak Law Group.

Defendants included a multi-billion dollar trucking company which denied liability almost up to the date of the trial. However, rather than going to trial against the Vrdolyak Law Group, the defendants were forced to settle, requesting the inclusion of a confidentiality clause.

The $9-million settlement is thought to be amongst the highest ever in Illinois for the death of an unmarried man killed upon impact with a semi-truck.

“Trucking cases are very different than regular motor vehicle accidents. If you’re involved in an accident with a semi-truck, you really need a firm with the experience, knowledge, and resources to handle the complexities of trucking cases,” said, Edward J. Vrdolyak, Managing Partner, Vrdolyak Law Group.
